About This Session
As AI-generated deepfakes, synthetic identity fraud and sophisticated document fabrication surge across digital onboarding channels, UK regulated firms are learning a hard lesson: purely automated RegTech tools are no longer enough to satisfy FCA scrutiny. While software can process volume, it cannot replace the nuanced risk judgment and human oversight that supervisors now demand under SYSC 8 and SM&CR rules.
In this tactical, 30-minute briefing, Complyport’s specialist explains why static onboarding checks and automated-only pipelines are creating dangerous compliance blind spots and how deploying an expert, human-in-the-loop KYC Managed Service allows your firm to clear complex CDD backlogs, catch sophisticated identity fraud and maintain auditable regulatory evidence without swelling fixed headcount.
In this session we will explore:
- The Onboarding Paradox
- The Transition to Continuous KYC
- The Hybrid Model in Practice
- Rapid Remediation & Backlog Cleanup
Who Should Attend:
- MLROs and Heads of Financial Crime struggling with rising false positive rates, complex UBO structures and backlog remediation.
- Compliance Officers and Operations Directors seeking flexible operational capacity to handle volume spikes without long-term hiring commitments.
- COOs and Managing Directors looking to optimise compliance spend while strengthening risk controls against evolving fraud typologies.
- SMF 17 / SMF 16 Holders responsible for proving effective third-party outsourcing oversight to the regulator.
